Explore Cape Verde through our tailor-made trips, designed by Paulina and her team from Praia. Each itinerary combines multiple islands to reveal the contrasts of the archipelago: paved trails and green valleys of Santo Antão, creole music and bars of Mindelo, climbing Pico do Fogo and vines on ash, beaches and trade winds of Sal or Boa Vista. Whether you travel with family, as a couple or with friends, our trips adapt to your pace and your desires. From a 10-day discovery stay on two islands to an extended 3-week journey across the archipelago, find the itinerary that suits you and travel with peace of mind with an English-speaking local agency.
Choose your trip in Cape Verde
How to choose your Cape Verde circuit?
The choice depends on how many islands you wish to combine and your preferred pace. For a first trip, two to three islands over 8 to 12 days allow you to experience a hiking island (Santo Antão or Fogo), a cultural island (São Vicente) and a beach island (Sal or Boa Vista). To explore the archipelago more widely and include Santiago and its Badiú villages, plan for 13 to 17 days. Flight and ferry rotations require keeping a buffer day between each island.
Different circuit types
We create cultural itineraries around Creole music, the colonial trading posts of Cidade Velha and the Badiú traditions of Santiago. Adventure enthusiasts prefer hiking across Santo Antão and climbing Pico do Fogo. For families, we lean towards Sal and Boa Vista, with accessible beaches and supervised water activities, plus a stop in Mindelo for the atmosphere.
What is the best season?
The dry season, from November to June, offers the best conditions: temperatures between 22 and 28°C, clear skies, steady trade winds. December to April concentrate the ideal months to combine hiking and beach. The brief rainy season, from August to mid-October, turns Santo Antão and Fogo green but makes trails more slippery. For kitesurfing in Sal, prefer January to March. Mindelo's carnival takes place in February or early March.
